The Transgender Day of Remembrance is on November 20th, 2022 and is a day intended to bring awareness of violence against transgender people, often resulting in death, and so this day honors the lives of transgender people who might otherwise be forgotten. TDOR is also used to bring attention to transgender issues and the lived experience of trans folx.

To see statistics regarding violence against transgender people, visit VAWnet, a project on the national resource center on domestic violence, and to view the National Transgender Discrimination Survey, visit the National Center for Transgender Equality site. It is important for us to note, though these numbers are shocking, they are severely under reported.
