Safe Connect
This is an ongoing project focused on recognizing businesses that are owned, operated, employ, or serve LGBTQIA+ in the Quad Cities area to create a network of supportive and safe spaces to patron.
Safe Connect is a pioneering effort to identify and promote queer-friendly businesses across the Quad Cities area. Participating businesses will proudly display a distinctive sticker in their front window, signaling their commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all.
At QCAD, we understand that meeting all the required standards can be a challenging task for businesses. That's why we're here to help! If business are struggling to meet the necessary standards, we're happy to work with them to get there. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that our list of businesses meets all the required standards, to ensure a safe and welcoming queer community.
In order to qualify for this program, local businesses/organizations must meet the following criteria:

Possess general knowledge of LGBTQ+ inclusive vocabulary and language

Check out available trainings through The Village Projects
2. Supports and promotes LGBTQ+ activities, organizations, and efforts
3. Google My Business Account reflects "LGBTQ-Friendly" and "Transgender safespace"
4. Post a Nondiscrimination Statement
